How can my child hear a bedtime story in my voice when I am away?
Record about 15 seconds of your voice in DearlyStory before you go. After that, the person at home can play any story in your voice: a new one the app writes from an idea, or a picture book you already own. The pages turn by themselves, the screen can be locked, and saved stories play offline, so it works in a hotel, on a ship or on a base.

- Save them on the phone that stays at home; saved stories play offline.
What the person at home does
Opens the app, picks a story or a playlist, presses play. The story reads in your voice, the pages turn, and the sleep timer stops it. If they want to look at the pictures together, the picture book turns its own pages.
Said plainly
A recording is not you. Children know the difference, and so do we. DearlyStory is for the nights when the alternative is no story in your voice at all. Every exported file starts with a short spoken notice that the voice is AI-generated.
Questions people ask
Do I need a good connection while away?
Not to play saved stories. Creating a voice, writing a new story and making new audio need a connection; do those before you leave or when you have one.
Can both parents record?
Yes. Any adult in the family can record a voice with their permission, including grandparents.
Does the child need the app?
The app stays on the phone or iPad at home, in an adult’s account. Accounts are for people 18 or older.
