Is it safe to put my voice into DearlyStory?

The rules are written down and built in. You may only create your own voice or one you have permission to use, and you agree to that before the first recording. Every exported file starts with a spoken notice that the voice is AI-generated and carries a marker in its file details. Deleting a voice removes it from our server and from the speech provider right away. There are no ads and no third-party analytics.

Consent

Record your own voice, or one you have permission to use, such as a grandparent who agrees. You accept this before you create your first voice, and it is part of the terms. If someone used your voice without permission, report it in the app.

Labels

Pictures are made by AI and labelled as such in the app. Exported audio begins with a short spoken notice that the voice is AI-generated, and the file carries a marker in its details.

Deletion

Deleting a voice removes the recording and the voice from our server and from our speech provider right away. Deleting your account removes your data.

Who the app is for

Accounts are for adults aged 18 or older. You make stories and picture books for children to enjoy, with you. The app shows no ads and uses no third-party analytics.

Where is my recording stored?

With our server and the speech provider that makes the voice, for as long as the voice exists. Deleting the voice removes it from both.
